The group, the largest European tuna fishing company with a fleet of 27 vessels catching 120,000 metric tons of fish a year, predicts sales of €226 million ($240 million) from 2009 across its Spanish canning and frozen foods divisions, as well as its Ecuador-based canning company. Its 2008 turnover figure is €217 million.
According to the company, sales at Salica del Ecuador, the front company of its South American canning operation, will be $180 million (€127 million), the same as in 2008.
