The formation of the Responsible Fisheries Alliance with WWF was a “proactive approach” to preserving marine management for the future, said CEO Francois Kuttel.
“Oceana is a large quotas holder in southern Africa, and we recognize the need for responsible fisheries management and the fact that some of the larger companies should take leading role in this if we are to continue with robust fish management,” Kuttel told IntraFish.
“There’s a growing understanding we [Oceana and WWF] can do better together than apart.
