Peter Bridson, who worked four years with the Soil Association as aquaculture program manager, was named aquaculture research manager at the Monterey, Calif.-based aquarium.
The aquarium will also hire an aquaculture research analyst who will report to Bridson.
Bridson is working on a buyers guidelines for farmed shrimp for the aquarium, due to be released by summer.
