Smoker offers $50,000 reward for information on salmon thieves

MacKnight founder Jonathan Brown told IntraFish the firm’s Miami smokehouse was broken into early Wednesday.

The thieves used a truck owned by the company to get away with the salmon.

“It’s a white 2006 Freight 16 M with a vehicle identification number of 1FVACWCS76HX17196,” said Brown. “The tag number is S17 LTA.”

The truck was loaded with over 600 cases of pre-sliced smoked salmon sides packed in 45-pound and 40-pound cases branded Macknight Traditional Smoked Salmon; Fjord Superior Smoked Salmon; Norwegian Dawn and Scottish Dawn Smoked Salmon, he said.
