British distributor F Smales and Son saw its turnover drop in the financial year of of 2013, but profits skyrocketed 61.6 percent to £1.6 million, up from £1.02 million (€1.3 million/$1.7 million) in the previous year.
Turnover for the year ended Aug. 31, 2013, dropped 11.1 percent, down from £93.8 million (€117 million/$159.2 million). This is mainly due to a fall in both the purchase and selling price of frozen at sea fillets, the company said in its report.
