Six of D.C.’s most renowned chefs will prepare the five-course menu at Agraria Restaurant, featuring oysters, mussels, clams, haddock, and blue crab from East Coast sustainable fisheries.
Sandhya Rao, development officer for Slow Food USA, told IntraFish proceeds from the event will help promote Slow Food initiatives. Founded two decades ago, the Slow Food movement is dedicated to creating public awareness of sustainable foods and promoting high-quality, eco-friendly foods.
“This is the first time we are organizing a national event focused on sustainable seafood," Rao said.
