Skagerak Group has merged all its pelagic activities into one factory in Skagen, on the northernmost tip of Denmark.
The move will make it easier for Skagerak to deliver its fish waste to a fishmeal plant, while also improving the traceability of its products from catch to consumer, the company said.
The change follows the merger of Skagerak’s three pelagic companies, Unifisk, E. Taabbel Fiskeeksport and Skagerak Fiskeeksport, into Skagerak Pelagic three years ago.
