An overview of the Norwegian National Veterinary Institute (VI) show there were six cases of pancreas disease (PD) in May.

PD detected in Hordaland, with three suspected cases, and one each in More, Romsdal, and Trondelag.

There are now a total of 20 cases of PD this year. Half of these were detected north of Hustadvika, but overall it was only nine cases of the "old" subtype, SAV3, according to VI.

Figures VI shows that at the same time last year were 47 cases of the disease, while up to May of 2011 Norway saw 24 cases.
