Boston-based shrimp and seafood supplier International Marketing Specialists (IMS) filed a fraud and breach of contract lawsuit against BJ's Wholesale Club Inc., seafood broker Paul Dembling, and Dembling's company, Sinco Inc.
IMS alleges the three defendants conspired to remove IMS from a signed business contract under which IMS was supplying shrimp that was being sold at BJ's outlets under the Legal Sea Foods name.
Boston-based Legal Sea Foods was not named as a defendant.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages against Dembling, Sinco and BJ's, all based in Massachusetts.
