Eighty chefs in Mazatlan, Mexico, on Friday created the world's largest shrimp cocktail, weighing an incredible 1,187 pounds.
The concoction was entered into the Guinness World Records.
"Once all the shrimp had been added to the cocktail glass, all the dipping sauce had been mixed in, and the glass rim lined meticulously with more shrimp, each the size of a computer mouse, the industrial scales came to a rest at an incredible 1,187 pounds 3 ounces," Guinness World Records adjudicator Mike Janela said on the organization's Web site.
