The CEO of US scallop and seafood producer Marlees is no longer with the company after his contract was terminated for medical reasons, the company's attorney told IntraFish.
Zaid "Zeke" Shahin's health hasn't been well for several months, said Michael Elion, Marlees' general council, and his health had been affecting his ability to do his job.
"His health has not been well for awhile and the company had to terminate his contract," Elion said. "You can’t have the CEO not able to work because of his health."
