It’s the first time in any of the three Greenpeace rankings a U.S. supermarket has received a passing grade, which is a score between 40 and 69 on the grading scale of 100. No companies received a ranking of “good,” which is a score of 70 or higher.
Wegmans, which has stores in the northeastern United States, received the top grade, a score of 59.25 out of a possible 100 points. It scored 30 in the first two rankings that came out last year.
