Leading Greek seabass and seabream players are looking to Turkey to expand, partly as red tape is hampering their efforts to grow and consolidate at home, executives told IntraFish.

Athens-based Selonda, Greece’s second largest player, is aiming to become “one of Turkey’s top four to five players,” the company’s CEO John Stephanis said.

“You can expect Selonda to expand in Turkey, we will have a very strong base there,” Stephanis (pictured left) told IntraFish. “We expect to take part in the consolidation that will definitely take place in the country.”
