SeaPak will initially sell the wild warmwater shrimp caught in waters off the Atlantic coast and Gulf of Mexico through its value-added product lines, and in a variety of products.
SeaPak sells only value-added shrimp, currently using American shrimp not certified by Wild American Shrimp Inc. (WASI), Jack Kilgore, president Rich SeaPak Corp., told IntraFish.
"We have sold American shrimp for many many years; the company was founded in 1948 in Georgia solely on selling American shrimp," Kilgore said. "It's always a plus to be able to offer consumers a choice.
