Sealord Caistor’s after-tax profit for the year through Sept. 28 -- the most recently available figures -- reached £1.4 million (€1.8 million/$2.4 million), a 32.8 percent increase over the previous year’s £1.02 million (€1.3 million/$1.7 million) gain.
Sealord’s turnover for the financial year increased 4.2 percent, going from £51.5 million (€64.4 million/$87.7 million) in 2012, to £53.6 million (€67 million/$91.3 million).
The company’s principal activities during the year continued to be the manufacture, marketing and distribution of seafood products, with Sealord’s primary customer being food store Waitrose.
