Burger King is trying to capture a higher-spending customer, and is rolling out a line of fire-grilled ribs in meal deals priced in some trial cities at $7.99 (€6.35) for a six-piece deal and $8.99 (€7.15) for an eight-piece deal. The ribs come with fries and a drink.

Those price points are a big jump for the company’s traditional customers, who are more prone to respond to a $1 (€0.79) value menu special than a meal deal with a price tag that puts it close to what casual-dining restaurants offer.
