Ernest Voisin was the founder of Louisiana shellfish supplier Motivatit Seafoods, and is credited with inventing the high-pressure wash system to remove Vibrio vulnificus bacteria from oysters, giving the industry a tool to ensure consumers raw oysters are safe to eat.
“He was a good man, he always worked hard, always was positive. We’ll miss him, but we’ll carry on,” Mike Voisin, his son and president of Motivatit, told IntraFish.
Until his last days, Ernest Voisin was talking about all the things that needed to be done to keep the business strong, even though he knew his time was ending, Mike Voisin said.
“He
