The deal by Seafood Holdings adds the €18 million ($25 million) foodservice business to its existing operations in fresh fish, taking the parent past €120 million ($170 million) turnover.
Depots in Bolton and Birmingham will join the 11 already used by Seafood Holdings, improving coverage to supply fresh fish to the catering and food service sector.
“This deal strengthens and deepens our reach across the nation. It undoubtedly makes us number one in fresh fish supply to the food service sector,” CEO Toby Baxendale told IntraFish.
