Boston-based Sea Pact, announced funding support for six new projects advancing seafood sustainability globally at the recent seafood show.

The association -- a group of ten North American seafood companies committed to drive sustainability -- is funding projects in social responsibility, ghost gear solutions, by-catch reduction techniques, mussel larvae cryopreservation, aquaculture student training, and early pathogen detection tools.

The recipients of the grants are the Conservation International (CI), Ocean Outcomes, the Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at the New England Aquarium, Catalina Sea Ranch’s, the Mainland High School Aquaculture and Marine Science, and the City University Hong Kong.
