Scottish salmon producers set for massive growth period

The future of the Scottish salmon sector looks promising, industry watchers told IntraFish, as demand for the fish continues to spike worldwide.

The industry’s growth in the last couple of years has been impressive, Scot Landsburgh of the Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation (SSPO) said.“Prices, volumes, exports, [and] export values are all increasing,” he said. “The United States is a particular highlight for us, as its export value is up 28 percent.”
