Farming of halibut, cod, trout, plus activities of smolt producers, account for "a fine, wee portion of the Scottish aquaculture industry," FSASP Director Richard Slaski told IntraFish.
Slaski cites turnover of NOK 384 million (€47.3 million/$62.5 million). Scottish halibut farming is worth £2 million (€2.9 million/$3.9), he said.
Sales from cod farming, which mainly consists of Johnson Seafarms and some juvenile raising facilities, totals £4 million (€5.8 million/$7.8 million).
