Champagne, evening gowns and tuxedos can only mean one thing, and 2015’s National Fish & Chip awards, held at the London Lancaster Hotel, were as lavish as you would expect from such a prestigious accolade.
This year Scotland reclaimed the prize, as Frankie’s Fish and Chips in Brae, Shetland, the previous year’s runners up, beat out nice other chippies to grab the title of Independent Takeaway Fish & Chip Shop of 2015.
“It’s always been the aim to win this award since we started Frankie’s," said John Gold, manager of the shop.
