Jul. 24 2002 - WorldCatch Wave - Two men who survived two years ago after their fishing boat Frisco was smashed by a freighter and sank have filed a $4 million lawsuit against their ship's captain, who died in the crash, and the freighter's owner and operator.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court, accuses the freighter of "cowardly" fleeing the scene of the crash 50 miles off Cape Henry.
The survivors, Orion J. "Joe" Halsey Jr. and Lucian Funk, also accuse their captain of failing to monitor radar or sound the foghorn.
