Sapmer anticipates deliveries of two new tuna seiners

Sapmer, a fishing company based on the French Reunion Island, is taking delivery of two new purse seine vessels in the summer of this year.

The company’s tuna purse fleet, which fishes in the Indian Ocean, is currently made of three deep freeze tuna purse seiners acquired in 2009 and 2010. As of summer 2012, Sapmer will have acquired two new ships of the same design.

First to be delivered will be Dolomieu. Built in Vietnam by the Seas Shipyards, the Vietnamese subsidiary of French yard Piriou, it should be delivered on March 30 of this year.
