Santa Barbara voluntarily recalls salmon over possible listeria outbreak

The FDA announced Thursday US smoked salmon supplier Santa Barbara Smokehouse is voluntarily recalling all cold smoked salmon from March 1 to April 8 distributed through retail stores and food wholesaler because it may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.

Affected recall brands include Cambridge House, Coastal Harbor, Harbor Point, North Shore S.F. Specialty, Channel Islands and Santa Barbara, as well as the following batch range of 1015 – 3949.

The FDA reported no illnesses to date and clarified that this is a precautionary step.
