California-based Salty Girl Seafood, which supplies traceable, ready-to-cook seafood to retailers, has chosen the Wild Salmon Center to be its 1% for the Planet donation recipient this year.

Last year, Salty Girl committed to donating one percent of annual sales to organizations "creating positive environmental change," the company said.

"At the end of the day, the goal of Salty Girl Seafood is to ensure there are plenty of fish for generations to come," said co-founder Laura Johnson. "We chose to support the Wild Salmon Center because they’re truly out there taking action to drive positive change as the only group working to protect a network of wild salmon strongholds across the entire North Pacific.
