Salmonid feed sales in Norway jumped significantly this year from levels seen in the same period of 2015, according to figures by Sjomat Norges Akvafakta.
In the weeks 10 to 13 this year 8 percent more feed was sold this year. Total volumes amounted to 86,796 metric tons, up from 80,617 metric tons sold last year.
So far this year -- through week 13 -- sold volumes jumped 4 percent compared to 2015.
Total volumes amounted to 289,000 metric tons, compared to 277,158 metric tons in the same period last year.
