Salmonella outbreak linked to sushi tuna affects 53 people in 9 states

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported Thursday there are now 53 people in nine states infected with the outbreak strain of salmonella.

"The investigation has not conclusively identified the source of this outbreak, but most ill people interviewed reported eating sushi made with raw tuna in the week before becoming ill," said the CDC.
