SalmonChile also said Wednesday it is moving its headquarters from the capital, Santiago, to the center of the Chilean salmon farming industry in Puerto Montt. The move will be made effective June 1.
“The new labor and productive challenges of salmon farming have compelled SalmonChile to restructure to focus on regional work. The headquarters in Santiago will be reduced and will start to operate as a branch office,” SalmonChile said.
The change is being made due to new challenges faced by the salmon industry and a large drop in budget.
