The Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL) expects Norway to produce a lot less and smaller salmon next year: At the Aquaculture Conference in Oslo this week Jon Arne Grottum, regional director and technical director at FHL, said he sees a colossal 12 percent drop in the total production of salmon and trout next year. This means a total loss of of 150,000 metric tons of fish.

Production in 2012 seems to come to just under 1,250,000 metric tons of round, bled weight fish.
