Higher volumes of fish on the market are pushing salmon prices sharply down for next week, industry players told IntraFish Friday afternoon.
For salmon over 3 kilograms in size, the average price is currently around NOK 40 (€4.80/$6.70) – NOK 41 (€5/$6.90) from the fish farmers in southern Norway and around NOK 39 (€4.70/$6.60) – NOK 40 (€4.80/$6.70) for the farmers in North Norway.
Fish weighing between 2 and 3 kilograms is being sold at around NOK 36 (€4.4/$6.10) – NOK 37 (€4.5/$6.20)
