Compared with wholesale prices reported on Friday, salmon prices are stable, with some a little higher, two days before Christmas.
Speaking to four independent sources at 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, IntraFish was told wholesale prices held stable despite there being very little salmon on the market this week.
The prices also reflect the Russian embargo as Russia traditionally takes a lot of fresh salmon from Norway during the Christmas season.
“It is stable to slightly up, but it is noticeable that Russia is out this year,” one exporter told IntraFish.
