Salmon prices drop below NOK 40 mark

For the first time in weeks Norwegian farmed salmon prices are predicted to drop below the NOK 40 (€5.30/$7) market. But prices are still good, settling in the high NOK 30's (€3.90/$5.20), IntraFish was told.

The drop in prices has been expected by many player. Slaughter volumes are still not particularly high but they are increasing.

"There is not more fish available," on exporter said. "But seasonally the decrease in prices is normal."

Exporters and farmers gave the following prices when talking to IntraFish:
