The spot price for sizes 3-5 kilos is up to a degree due to increased demand from the processing industry before Christmas. Spot prices for the bigger sizes (5+ kilos) are suffering slightly from plentiful supply and limited demand.
An overview from NOS Clearing, prepared for Fish Pool, shows the average price in Week 47 was NOK 27.59 (€3.38/$4.92) per kilo, a decrease of NOK 0.04 (€0.004/$0.007) from the previous week.
The weekly price report is based on purchase prices paid by Norwegian salmon exporters to fish producers for fish delivered FOB Oslo.
