”I believe the price will strengthen in times to come,” said Jan Egil Ytrearne, a trader at Seaborn.
The price picture is complex, with average prices varying between NOK 22.50 and NOK 24 (€2.92-€3.11/$4.15-$4.43) per kilogram, Ytrearne said. ”Prices are significantly up compared with the previous Friday,” he said.
A Marine Harvest seller reported prices at NOK 24 (€3.11/$4.43) for fish weighing between three and six kilos. ”The price increase started on Thursday and it has continued today,” he said.
Marine Harvest said it reduced slaughtering slightly, in line with demand.
