The measure includes new sanitary restrictions; establishment of sanitary management areas or “neighborhoods;” and mortgages, transfers and strengthening of the control faculties of Chile’s Directorate of Fisheries (SERNAPESCA).
The bill will now go through the treasury commission of Congress before arriving for debate and possible action by the full Congress. The bill will then be analyzed in the Senate, which could take about a month.
