As far as IntraFish is aware, several fish producers would like to see the minimum import price (MIP) lower than the current €2.81 ($3.35).
”I prefer not to comment on what will be negotiated,” Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL) Aquaculture Chairman Atle Eide told IntraFish. He currently is on a trip along Norway’s coast, meeting members of FHL Aquaculture for the first time since he took over the organization.
”We’re now preparing this fall’s negotiations with the European Union, and one of the aims of my trip now is to prepare the mandate we will have this fall,” he said.
