Salmon Group has joined Leroy and Nordlaks in expressing disappointment with the Norwegian government's decision to drop proposals to make the maximum allowed biomass limit into a rolling monthly average limit -- an idea that has been reviewed and debated since last fall.
The government has chosen a straight-out growth strategy ahead of a solution that benefits the processing industry and small producers.
Production volume for many of the small producers is low for a large portion of the year.
