Last week, the first Norwegian cod-farming company, Codfarmers, debuted on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Several days earlier, news broke of the merger between the medium-sized Norwegian aquaculture companies Volden Group and Grieg Seafood, and their plans to go public.
Salmar, Spon Fish and other new companies will soon be making their appearance on the stock exchange in Oslo.
The intention of all these stock exchange listings is to use the market to generate fresh capital to safeguard operations and grow the business.
