Despite a slightly higher turnover in the financial year of 2013, western Norwegian salmon exporter Ocean Supreme halved its profit year-on-year.
Operating revenue increased 8.9 percent from NOK 532.6 million (€65.7 million/$89.4 million) last year to NOK 580.4 million (€71.6 million/$97.5 million) in 2013.
At the same time, operating profit fell more than 43 percent from NOK 12.7 million (€1.6 million/$2.1 million) to NOK 7.2 million (€887,940/$1.2 million) year-on-year.
Profit margin was thus halved to 1.2 percent from 2.4 percent for the salmon exporter.
