The timeline for finalizing the standards will be discussed at the November meeting by the Dialogue’s steering committee. The timeline will include a date for starting and ending the final comment period, and an estimated date for finalizing the standards. More than 400 pages of comments were received in the last feedback period.
“Until the final comment period ends, it is too hard to determine when the standards will be finalized,” Jill Schwartz, spokeswoman for the World Wildlife Fund, which sponsors the various Aquaculture Dialogues, told IntraFish.
