According to figures from the Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL), at the end of April the average weight of fish was 1.5 kilos and total biomass was 419,841 metric tons.
At the same time last year, the average weight in farm cages was 1.6 kilos, while total biomass was 376,873 metric tons.
