Norwegian salmon producer SalMar has been granted permission to extend the capacity of its holding cages in connection with the Innovamar factory.
The company applied to move and also extend the slaughter cage or holding cage at its Nordskag site to 3,000 metric tons last fall.
Sor-Trondelag County Governor’s office wrote in its decision due to regulation terms and conditions, the maximum allowable is 780 metric tons biomass per permit. Therefore the company has been granted four permits, of which two are new.
