Sainsbury's was handed strict advice over future packaging by The City of London’s Department of Environmental Services, the food labeling authority that presides over Sainsbury corporate head office, but will not face further repercussions.
“The issue of Sainsburys Supermarkets Ltd using a promotional oversleeve to supplement their normal packaging of pollack fillets has been concluded: the oversleeve has been inspected and considered against the various legislation governing the labelling of foods in general, and fish products,” the statement obtained by IntraFish read.
