The certification group for Russia's Sea of Okhotsk pollock fishery said Wednesday the fishery is clear for MSC certification.

The determination reached by Moody Intertek is the Russia Sea of Okhotsk pollock fishery should be certified in accordance with the MSC standard.

The certifier stressed it is a determination, not a final certification result.

There is now a 15 working day period during which a party may lodge a notice of objection to the determinations reached.

The Sea of Okhotsk fishery accounts for the largest portion of the Russian pollock fishery.
