Rosrybolovstvo, Russia’s federal fishery agency, announced it is upping the total allowable catches (TAC) for several key species including Alaska pollock, Pacific herring scallops, crab and other species.

Pacific herring in the Karaginskaya subzone (East Kamchatka zone) will be increased 84 percent to 59,200 metric tons, the agency reported.

Meanwhile, the TAC for Alaska pollock in the East Sakhalin subarea of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk will be increased by 60 percent -- up to 103,000 metric tons -- while quotas for opilio snow crab are now set 33.7
