Russia increased its total production of pollock fillets frozen-at-sea in the Far East Basin Fishery by 59.2 percent to 28,690 metric tons year-on-year, said the Russian Pollock Catchers Association.

In total, catch across the all fishing area in Russia amounted to 1.045 million metric tons, up slightly by 0.4 percent from 1.041 million metric tons last year.

The increase was mainly due to the Okhotsk Sea catch, which went up 2.5 percent to 831,240 metric tons, up 2.5 percent from 810,700 metric tons last year.
