Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor said Tuesday it found bacteria during laboratory tests of R-114, which is Grieg Seafood Rogaland and N 742, which is Ellingsen Seafood AS.
The Russian health agency said it will inform Norwegian veterinary authorities about the violations and impose enhanced laboratory control of products from the listed facilities.
The news followed announcement earlier in the day that Rosselkhoznadzor would reinforce import controls on products from eight Norwegian companies.
The last few weeks have been very active for Rosselkhoznadzorl. The following companies, it said, should plan to see increased controls of their products beginning immediately.
