Figures released by the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) show that Norway exported 9,852 metric tons of fresh salmon in week 17 this year.
The average price per kilo was NOK 42.67 (€5.5/$7.9), a slight decline from NOK 43.06 (€5.6/$8) the previous week.
France remains the biggest importer of fresh Norwegian salmon so far this year, with 29,643 metric tons imported, on par with last year’s volumes.
In second place is Poland, with 24,337 metric tons of fresh salmon imported so far this year from Norway.
