Russia's overall volume of red roe production will exceed 12,000 metric tons by the end of this year, according to Rosrybolovstvo, the country's federal agency for fishery.

In the first nine months, the output of salmon roe totaled 11,300 metric tons, compared to 9,500 metric tons in the same period last year.

The region of Kamchatka produced the bulk of Russia’s overall red roe output accounting for 7,600 metric tons.

Sakhalin came second with 2,200 metric tons, while Khabarovsk provided 1,300 metric tons of salmon roe.

Local
